You and God's Word

Below are selected videos from the video series Journey to Future Events.

John 4:35, ‘ I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.’

This verse appears to be relatively simple and straightforward. In the natural, bread and water are universal for eating and drinking.  The Bible provides a deeper and more significant understanding where bread and water may seem symbolic but are used as covenants between God and man. Sharing bread and water with others draws people together, both create an environment of comfort and hospitality.
Verse, 1 Corinthians 11, the Institution of the Lord’s Supper, the night Jesus was betrayed,  took bread and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat, this is My body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of Me.’ Jesus was about to give up His life on the cross for the sins of mankind.
Verse, John 4, Jesus asked a Samaria women for a drink of water from the well she was drawing from. Then Jesus said to her ‘ Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.’
Natural bread and water provide nutrition to the body. Spiritual bread and water feeds the spirit.
How do we partake of the living bread and water, we do so by exercising our faith and trust, trying our best to living a righteous life.

What does God say about Death?

By James McClain

The Bible states that it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment, Hebrews 9: 27.  God has a plan for each of us on this earth.  Do you know His plan?  God allows us a very short time on this earth and then death comes.  The causes of death are many—cancer, heart conditions, drugs, car wrecks, war, murder, old age and the list goes on.

God desires that you know His Son, Jesus.  Romans 8: 1 reads “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”.  You need not fear condemnation or death.

Here is the good news—Jesus will return to receive His own, both dead and alive.  I Thessalonians 4: 16-17  “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord”.

We need to be very grateful to God.  Colossians 1: 12-13 “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”.

I hope you know God personally through His Son, Jesus, and receive the gift of eternal life.

KNOW GOD?

God’s plan is for all to be saved—to know God personally through His Son, Jesus.

Do you know Him personally?  Only you can make that decision—I cannot help you!

The problem is that mankind is born into sin—therefore you do not seek after God or search for Him.  But God seeks out those He has chosen—and that is through the working of the Holy Spirit.

God has provided you with a free will—you must decide—a “yes” or “no” to Jesus.

If you feel God is nudging you in some way—through a friend or family member, something you heard or saw on the internet or television, after an accident or you were told you have cancer, or you remember that you were given a Bible when you were a child—open the door to God.

Put your faith in Jesus and gain eternal life.  The Holy Spirit will indwell you.  Romans 10:9-10 states “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved”.

Pray to God “God I admit I am a sinner and ask for forgiveness of my sins.  I want to ask your son, Jesus, to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior”.  Begin your life of becoming more Christ-like.

When you make that decision the angels in Heaven rejoice with you.  You now have eternal life while on this earth and then will live with God for eternity in Heaven.

Let us know if you make a decision for Christ.
